Where do the exchange rates come from?
In Mongolbank mode (pairs involving MNT), rates come from Mongolbank's published daily official rates. In International mode, rates are sourced via the Frankfurter API, which blends reference data from 54 central banks.
Why is MNT split into its own tab?
Mongolbank does not publish a free historical exchange-rate API, so MNT pairs can only show today's official rate. Foreign-to-foreign pairs have historical chart data, so they live in a separate International tab.
Why is this rate different from my bank's rate?
Mongolbank's official rate is a reference (mid) rate. Commercial banks set their own buy/sell rates around it with a margin, so actual transaction rates differ. Always check your bank's current rate before a real transaction.
