Frequently asked questions

What is a weighted GPA?
A weighted GPA accounts for the difficulty of a course. In our calculator, we use 'Credits' to weight the grades, meaning a 4-credit course has a bigger impact on your GPA than a 1-credit course.
How does the 4.0 scale work?
It is the most common system in the US and internationally. A=4.0, B=3.0, C=2.0, D=1.0, and F=0. If your school uses plus/minus (like B+), the value is usually adjusted (e.g., B+ = 3.3 or 3.5).
