Frequently asked questions
Why calculate 2 coats of paint?
Manufacturer specs often list 10 m²/L, but good coverage requires two coats — so 5 m²/L is more realistic.
Should I buy extra material?
Yes — add 10% for waste, cuts, and touch-ups.
Are doors and windows subtracted from the wall area?
Yes — we subtract a standard door (2 m²) and standard window (1.5 m²) from the total wall area so paint and wallpaper estimates are realistic.
Why does wallpaper use 5.3 m² per roll?
A standard wallpaper roll is 0.53 m × 10 m = 5.3 m². We use that figure directly. Buy about 10% extra for pattern matching and trim loss.
